Meet Our Physicians
Dr. Lan Nguyen was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam, but grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where she attended college at Spalding University and graduated with a Bachelor of Natural Sciences. She then attended Ross University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2010. Dr. Nguyen completed her family medicine residency at Medical College of Georgia/Georgia Regents University and is a board certified family medicine physician. Her special interests include women’s health and procedures. Dr. Nguyen’s hobbies include painting, yoga, photography and traveling with her husband, who is an Army Officer stationed at nearby Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM). She is fluent in Vietnamese and English.
Dr. Jon Peterson received his osteopathic training at the University of North Texas. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Association. Dr. Peterson also practiced medicine in the Air Force prior to starting his own clinic, formerly known as South Sound Family & Sports Medicine. Dr. Peterson is a Washington native and devout UW Husky. He has a special interest in sports medicine and he has served as a team physician for Black Hills High School, Capital High School and St. Martin’s University. Dr. Peterson and his wife, Kara, and enjoy spending time with their two children when they are home from college.
Meet Our Physician Assistants
Jamie Nixon, PA-C, received her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in 2001. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 2006 receiving a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Jamie is interested in all aspects of family practice with a focus on wellness. She enjoys playing soccer, travelling and watching professional sports. Her family includes her husband Kyle and three children. She is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American College Health Association.
Brian Reiton, PA-C, received a Bachelor of Health Studies from Charter Oak State College. He studied to be a physician assistant at Red Rocks College, graduating in 2008 and then earned his master’s in 2012 from St. Francis University. Brian has a special interest in preventative medicine through healthy lifestyle modification. He loves all things outdoors and lives on a small farm with his wife, Rachael. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants.
